GPS motorcycle routes: free downloads by region

Looking for GPS motorcycle routes for your next ride? On Motarva you will find hundreds of routes that riders have ridden and shared themselves, from an afternoon in the Campine to multi-day trips through the Eifel and the Alps. You download them free for your Garmin, your TomTom or your phone. Below you will find a few well-ridden routes per region, which file to pick for which device, and how the route gets onto your sat-nav.

Which file for which device?

A GPS motorcycle route is a file with the track, which your sat-nav reads and follows. Every route on Motarva downloads in four formats:

Device Pick
Garmin zūmo or another Garmin GPX (or TCX or FIT)
TomTom Rider ITN or GPX
Navigation app on your phone GPX

Not sure? Take GPX: it is the format almost every device and app reads. What a GPX file is and why it follows the rider’s roads is explained in free GPX motorcycle routes explained.

GPS motorcycle routes by region

A few routes per region to start with. The distance is that of the route file: the ride to the start and back is not included. The route names are the Dutch ones they carry on Motarva.

Belgium

Route map of the motorcycle route Waremme–Bastogne

With more than 120 routes, Belgium is the largest region on Motarva. Waremme to Bastogne (170 km) takes you from the Hesbaye into the Ardennes. Closer to home if you live in the province of Antwerp: Zoersel to Lier (130 km) or the short De Kempen (59 km, from Kasterlee to Olen). All routes: motorcycle routes in Belgium.

Ardennes

Flemish Ardennes

How to put a route on your GPS

  1. Open the route on Motarva and choose Download. With a free Motarva account you can download every public route.
  2. Pick the format that suits your device (see the table above).
  3. Put the file on your sat-nav: on a Garmin with BaseCamp, or by copying the file into the GPX folder on the device; on a TomTom through MyDrive; in an app by opening the file with it.

The steps per device are covered in more detail in free GPX motorcycle routes explained. Look at the route before you set off: the routes are shared by riders, and a file does not tell you that every road is open today.
