Delete your Motarva account

Motarva is made by Beuzze, Ayrton Van Ouytsel. This page shows you how to delete your account and what happens to everything you made.

Delete it yourself, right now

In the iPhone app: Profile → Settings → Delete Account
In the Android app: Profile → Settings → Delete Account → Permanently delete account
On the site: sign in, open your profile, go to My Account and choose Delete my account.

You confirm by typing your username and your password. If you signed in with Apple or Google, your username is enough.

It happens straight away. There is no waiting period and no way back.

What is deleted and what stays

This will permanently delete your account.

Your profile, email, XP, badges, garage, favorites, referrals and saved sessions
Your whole riding history: every recorded ride, with its GPS trace, times and speeds
Your draft and private routes, with their GPX files and photos
Your public and unlisted routes stay online as community content, shown as "Deleted User"
Your reviews and ridden marks are anonymized or removed, so nothing points back to you

Want a published route gone too? Delete the route yourself before you delete your account. Afterwards it is no longer yours to remove.

A single photo or a single review cannot be removed on your own today. Ask us and we do it by hand.

Cannot sign in any more?

Mail support@motarva.com from the address on the account and tell us your username.

We only answer the registered address, and we never ask for identity documents.

We delete the account within 30 days of a request we could verify.

Backups

We back up the site every night. A deleted account can still sit in those backups for up to 14 days, after which they are deleted automatically. We never use a backup to bring a deleted account back.

Our server logs are deleted after 14 days and are not linked to your account.
