About this route

Along the ridges of the Ouachita Mountains from Mena, Arkansas, to Talihina, Oklahoma. Rolling curves and climbs with overlooks on both sides, over Rich Mountain and Winding Stair Mountain. Very little traffic outside the autumn colours, no fuel along the drive, and deer and fog are common. Fill up in Mena or Talihina.
