About this route
From Wardell on the Richmond River up onto the Alstonville plateau, through Tintenbar and Mullumbimby to Brunswick Heads, then the old Pacific Highway through Yelgun, Mooball and Burringbar to Murwillumbah and Tumbulgum on the Tweed River. Green hills, macadamia farms, cane fields and plenty of bends, on roads that went quiet when the motorway took the traffic. North Coast. This ride joins Tourist Drives 28 and 40. Australia drives on the left. Watch for kangaroos and wallabies at dawn and dusk, and for cattle grids and stock on the road in farm country.
Check road conditions and closures before you ride.
