Version 1.5.3 of the Motarva app has been in the App Store since 24 September. Less new, more right: a lot of this update is about the things you notice with gloves on and a route ahead of you.
A map that takes the whole screen
- The map on a route grows into full screen instead of opening a cover
- Close it and you are back where you left off
- Dragging a sheet scrolls the sheet, not the map underneath it
- Explore opens on routes instead of on empty cards
Find yourself on the leaderboard
- The leaderboard shows your own position and jumps to it in one tap
- It goes past the first 50 riders
CarPlay
- One menu button on the map, with the ride menu and Stop in the bar
- Stop still asks before it ends your ride
- The icons in the ride menu are visible again instead of black on black
On the road
- Fuel stations on your route show up in the list again
- Speed camera warnings no longer go quiet for the rest of a ride
- A recorded ride survives the app being closed, kilometres included
- The map no longer goes black for a second when you come back to the app
- Voice guidance no longer announces the start in the middle of a ride
- The arrival time is spoken in Dutch, French and German too
Privacy
- Your profile no longer shows an e-mail address as a handle
- Map telemetry is switched off before a map is ever created
Motarva Pro
- Pro now also comes as a monthly plan, next to the Week Pass and the yearly plan
- Group rides are part of Motarva Pro from this version on
Plus a long list of smaller fixes, from touch targets to the tab bar following light and dark mode.
Download
The app is free. Browsing, downloading and riding community routes turn by turn costs nothing. The app needs iOS 26.
