Motorcycle routes through Germany with free GPX
Germany offers some of the best riding close to home: the curves of the Eifel, the vineyard roads along the Moselle, the forests of the Hunsrück and the hills of the Sauerland. Further south, the Black Forest and the Alps are there for a longer trip.
Below are routes that start in Germany or ride a good stretch through it. Check them on the map and download the GPX free for your sat-nav.
The Eifel and the Nürburgring area
Most of our German routes ride through the Eifel. Around Monschau, Daun and the volcanic lakes the roads flow well, and the area around the Nürburgring is known for its curves. It is easy to reach from Belgium, the Netherlands and the Rhineland.

The Moselle and the Hunsrück
Along the Moselle, roads follow the river between steep vineyards and wine villages like Cochem. Climb out of the valley and the Hunsrück offers quieter roads over high plateaus and through forest.
The Sauerland and further afield
The Sauerland is a hilly forest region with lakes and winding roads, closer to the Netherlands than many riders think. For a longer trip, routes continue to the Black Forest and the Bavarian Alps.

Before you ride in Germany
Outside built-up areas the limit is 100 km/h unless signs say otherwise, and some popular roads are closed to motorcycles on certain days or have lower limits. Check the signs on your route and respect residents on the well-known motorcycle roads.
