What is new in the Motarva app 1.3
Version 1.3.1 of the Motarva app has been in the App Store since 22 August. It is mostly a navigation update: nearly everything you see and hear while riding has been reworked.
A ride that ends now really ends
Finish a route and navigation stops there. It used to route you back to the start, as if you still had somewhere to be. A route you have ridden also leaves Continue riding.
While you ride
- The arrow showing where you are turns with the road through junctions and roundabouts, instead of lagging behind you
- The map leans further and pulls back as you speed up, so you can read more of the road ahead
- The start and the finish of a route are marked on the map
- The turn arrows are redrawn, and they no longer paint over road signs
- Turn-by-turn in landscape, if that is how your phone is mounted
- A wrong turn is picked up sooner and said out loud straight away
- Guidance keeps running with the phone in your pocket
CarPlay
- Your route shows on the car screen while you ride toward its start
- The turn instructions are easier to read on more car screens
- Each turn shows the road name and the exit number instead of a full sentence
- The car map now draws the part you have ridden and the turn arrows, like the phone does
Navigate
- A route Motarva built for you survives leaving the tab, and a restart
- Continue riding brings those routes back too
- Saving a generated route is easier to find
Fixed
- Riding over a bridge could grey out the road underneath as if you had already ridden it
- A bad connection could sign you out for no good reason
Download
The app is free. Browsing, downloading and riding community routes turn by turn costs nothing. Motarva Pro is for riders who want a route built for them on the spot and want to ride it straight away. The app needs iOS 26.
